I was tired of using paper plates while camping and wanted something that would hold up well to camping use. These melamine do a great job and keep us happy with the beautiful color. I like having a whole set for our family of four. They stack together easily too so they don't take up too much room. They look like real ceramic.Love the color, however if you leave them in the sink the bottom will get stained and I cannot get them clean. Gonna try to soak in bleach water.Low quality, but reasonable for the price. Color is vivid.I was very surprised by this buy. It took me a long time to find a set I liked because i was being picky. With these, I just liked how they looked and bought it. A big thing for me was wanting something lightweight and this was exactly what I was looking for!! The only thing that was super disappointing was the plates felt.. Textured? As if a fork scratched them and now the surface has invisible but felt scratches. Made me feel the set was used? That's why it's a4 or else it would've been a5. But still niceI wanted some lightweight sturdy dishes for my RV, as my friends visited me while camping and all I could offer them was paper plates, and I was a bit embarassed - normally I am alone and it doesn't matter! The local stores had a few melamine choices but were gaudy and had sparkles, of all things. I also dislike busy patterns for arranging food on - these dishes had a good color and a subdued pattern that looks good for any food. Couldn't be happier. The bowls are quite large, and can double as snack holders if not needed for stew or soup. Best of all they stack well and take up so little room in the RV! A real win...I absolutely love the look of these dishes. I just wish I read read the description better. I was expecting ceramic plates and these are a hard plastic. Also these are not microwave safe. Would not have ordered had I read the description. But like I said they look good and do seem very durable.Love the looks and fabulous color. On the downside, they are not microwave safe. And are a little hard to wash (to remove oil/fat). My problem because I don't have a dishwasher - and they are dishwasher safe.It is heavier and more durable than what I expected. Bought these to use in our RV. Like the design. Dishes are bigger than what I am used to and the bowls are huge. Still have to get some smaller bowls for everyday use.Great product absolutely love them, however the product was advertised at 18pc at a serving of 6 and I only received 12pc set. (4pc each) I really needed those extra few plates etc as I have 6 in my family and as far as I am concerned I paid for 18pc.We use it for camping. After our first use, there was already scratches in the plate. Also, it counts 12 pieces.
